Role Description

Arcadis is seeking an Architectural Designer to join our Workplace Practice Group in the San Francisco Bay Area. The successful candidate will have project delivery experience in corporate workplace interiors and will support projects in San Francisco and San Jose, among others. We are looking for a creative, organized, and self-motivated individual who is a self-starter and can work both independently and as part of a team. The candidate should possess strong oral and written communication skills, as well as excellent presentation and documentation abilities.

Role Accountabilities:


  • Contributes to the development of light industrial distribution buildings architectural designs by preparing models and working drawings following company standards using Revit and AutoCAD
  • Coordinates architectural design with civil, structural, MEP, fire protection, and physical security disciplines
  • Prepares design development presentations and construction working drawing packages
  • Prepares submission packages under the direction of the architect or job captain/project leader, to meet project timelines
  • Produces drawings and details in compliance with codes and standards
  • Assist with contract administration tasks such as shop drawing reviews and response to RFIs
  • Manages workload and budget required for the completion of assigned tasks
  • Liaises closely with Architect, Job Captain and other designers
  • Work on multiple projects at the same time

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture
  • 3-5 years of experience, with a background in workplace design
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Proficiency in REVIT is required
  • Great detailing knowledge and skills
  • Registration with NCARB and AIA membership is an asset
  • LEED and/or WELL accreditation preferred
  • Must be geographically located in the San Francisco Bay Area for travel to active project sites

We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $72,000 - $115,000. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
