Basic Job Functions:


DJJ has an immediate opening for a supervisor within our ferrous trading administration team. This position is responsible for the team that handles the administration of all phases of scrap purchasing and sales. This includes contract entry, position monitoring, shipment entry, payments, logistics, and customer service. A new system is being implemented and supervisor will be responsible for leading this project to completion as well. A focus on process improvement and efficiencies will be needed. The role will be in constant communication with DJJ trading teams on positions and status of shipments. The current team consists of 15+ teammates and will oversee 1M+ tons per month of scrap transactions.


Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.




Minimum Qualifications:

• 2+ years of leadership experience
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with strong skills in word/excel
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Commitment to career growth and continuous professional development is essential for consideration for advancement

Preferred Qualifications:

• Nucor supervisory experience
• Team member training and development experience
• Customer service focus
• Knowledge of systems, scrap handling, logistical knowledge, and best practices
