The Manager of Data and Analytics will oversee a team dedicated to developing, improving, integrating, and maintaining IT platforms for Business Intelligence (BI), Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML), and reporting, all utilizing the Palantir Foundry platform. This role also involves managing rapid Proofs of Concept (PoCs) for business intelligence using Palantir Foundry.
KEY RESPONSIBILTIES:
Team Leadership: Leading and mentoring a team of data analysts, application developers, and IT professionals.
Platform Development: Overseeing the development and enhancement of IT platforms for BI, AI/ML, application development and reporting using the Palantir Foundry Platform.
Integration: Ensuring seamless integration of data platforms across various business units.
Support and Maintenance: Providing ongoing support and maintenance for data and analytics platforms.
Proofs of Concept: Managing fast-paced PoCs using the Palantir Foundry to demonstrate business intelligence capabilities.
System Resiliency: Working with all respective Technical IT counterparts to identify needs and address system resiliency.
Collaboration: Working with respective business units and business-facing IT teams to identify needs and design short-term and long-term solutions and roadmaps for the BI and AI platforms and services.
Team Culture: Demonstrating and promoting a team culture that values technical expertise, a strong work ethic, recognition of responsibility and accountability, teamwork, and approachability.
Platform Availability: Ensuring the BI and AI platforms are always available with accurate data.
Project Execution: Responsible for the timely and successful execution of projects required to achieve goals while aligning with Kinder Morgan's technology strategies.
Core Data Sets: Identifying core data sets and incorporating them into our BI and AI frameworks to support analytics.
Monitoring and Automation: Building internal reporting and automation to monitor the platform's health and proactively resolve issues before users are impacted.

Team Management: Managing the Data and Analytics team, including but not limited to hiring, training, rewarding, coaching, resource management, performance management, and annual appraisal.
Partnership Development: Developing and maintaining relationships with partners who can provide resources to scale data and analytics projects as needed.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, or Mathematics
Technical Knowledge:
5+ years of applicable technology experience including direct work experience in managing a large team.
Expertise in both front-end data visualization tools (Visual Studio C#, Power BI, Palantir Foundry) and backend data ETL pipeline and automation (SQL, SSIS, SSAS, Palantir Foundry, Python, PySpark)
Software development lifecycles and effective management of source code and software releases
Intermediate to Advanced proficiency level with Microsoft applications, including but not limited to Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Experience building and scaling BI platforms using Microsoft technologies including SQL Server, SSRS, SSAS, SSIS, and Power BI.
Experience or understanding of LLM/AI/ML programming languages such as Python, PySpark, or R.
