The Fuels OM&R Manager is responsible for meeting the Fuels Systems operation, maintenance and repair work requirements according to the performance work statement to include scheduling of personnel, work supervision and quality control.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Oversee all contractual Fuels operations for the base.
Manage ground and aviation fuels services for Air Force customers.
Manage and supervise fuels personnel.
Manage the maintenance of a small commercial vehicle fleet (specifically refueling vehicles).
Ensure performance meets requirements and standards found in the contract Performance Work Statement.
Implement the Quality Control Plan and self-inspection program related to Fuels Management issues and provide weekly and monthly feedback to the Site Manager.
Monitor readiness to implement the Emergency Fuels Support Plan and provide updates as required to the COR via the Site Manager.
Liaise with customers and management to stay current with operational requirements, natural disaster and weather impact to fuels requirements and direct actions that safely respond to customer needs.
Ensure all employees perform fuel services in accordance with USAF, PWS and all other relevant environmental and safety regulations and requirements.
Provide full-time on-site management of all fuels activities in accordance with Air Force Regulations.
Implement quality control plan to ensure compliance with fuels management, environmental, safety and security policies.
Provides oversight to all ground and aviation operations, ensuring workflow and prioritization are appropriately assigned.
Oversee all scheduled activities to ensure all contract activities are done on time and to the satisfaction of the customer.
Ensure personnel maintain currency with recurring mandatory training, in addition to executing an internal training program which provides capability depth.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
• High School Diploma or GED
Requires at least six (6) years of experience in Fuels OM&R.
Must have at least three (3) years of experience in a leadership role on a program of similar size and scope.
Must have a demonstrated expertise in spill cleanup procedures, prevention and control measures, related equipment operations, and maintenance.
Must successfully obtain and maintain Flight Line Driving Certification.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Current Commercial Driver's License with Hazmat Certification.
Experience in managing and supervising ground and/or aviation fuel services in a contract environment.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
Requires experience providing excellent customer service in supporting contract responsibilities in an OCONUS environment.
Must have relevant overseas experience, preferably in the Middle East with knowledge of local culture and customs.
Requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment handling multiple tasks at a given time and rapidly adapting to changing priorities and schedules and under pressure of deadlines while maintaining performance standards.
Must have strong analytical capabilities with respect to metrics and process improvement.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to work in extreme environmental conditions including dust and high temperatures.
Must be able to endure long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions.
