Project Scope - Parts Database & Branch Audit Review
The Compliance - Operations Intern, will work on two key projects aimed at improving database accuracy and branch compliance. The first project focuses on reviewing the top 50 import clients to assess the accuracy of parts (SKUs/Part Numbers) data. Analyze errors in the database, determine if the issues are systemic, branch-specific, or due to inconsistent data entry by individuals, then recommend applicable corrections. This project will involve using Cargowise and Excel extensively to identify the scale of the problem, suggest relevant training, and clean up the data to improve entry accuracy and reduce incorrect duty rates.
The second project involves reviewing lowest-performing branches based on previous compliance audits, categorize branches by key problem areas, assess these key problems areas, then developing targeted training recommendations to address those challenges. This analysis will focus on improving entry accuracy, minimizing errors that impact shipments and duty rates, and enhancing data consistency. By providing a fresh perspective on training delivery methods, the intern will contribute to long-term process improvements across multiple locations.
