The Associate Business Analyst is an early career resource who is eager to take on projects throughout the software development lifecycle and learn a variety of different roles in the process. The associate business analyst understands internal and external customer needs and assists in designing solutions that allow customers to implement their business requirements with minimal customizations.
Associate Business Analysts are encouraged to see the big picture when looking at customer needs and areas for process improvement. They have a deep curiosity to research software and product or services to find the best fit solutions to meet external and internal requirements.
The Associate Business Analyst review and analyzes current product features and their ability to support strategic objectives of a customer as it relates to the Connecture product line. This may include working within an organization to assist the improvement of business processes, testing systems to ensure functionality and recommending new features or upgrades.
Scope of Contribution
The Associate Business Analyst position is an early career-level position. The role requires an eagerness to learn and proficiency in discipline. The Associate Business Analyst works with support from product leadership and other business analysts, but on specific projects can have a responsibility of independent judgement.
Essential Responsibilities/ Duties
Collaborate with the product management team, business analysis team, technical leads and internal development teams to successfully implement designs. Translate concepts and ideas into design documents and requirements for development teams.
Work in tandem with development teams through the software development cycle to see projects through from conception to implementation. Create both internal and external facing documentation to support stakeholders and clients.
Participate in sprint planning sessions, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
Help the business development life cycle by serving as a product subject matter expert to help identify and qualify business development opportunities.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in related field (i.e. Business, Finance, Math, Computer Science, etc.) or equivalent work experience.
At least 2 years of industry experience
Skills/ Experience Required
Strong problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to clearly communicate and share solutions with fellow team members
Excellent written and oral communication skills and demonstrated ability to interact with all technical and non-technical members of the organization
Self-starter with strong analysis, communication, investigation, and problem-solving skills.
Competent with MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel. Competent in Jira and Confluence desired.
Works as an integral part of a talented, accountable, and driven team in a fast-paced, proactive environment. Comfortable with managing and prioritizing a backlog of user stories.
Understand Agile development methodologies and planning tools to assist other business analyst with project deliverables.
Ability to work on multiple assignments; when appropriate.
