Uber Freight is looking for a Sr. Manger, Warehouse. Your primary goal is to ensure that the physical resources at warehouse locations remain functional and are used efficiently. You will be responsible for implementing any new projects that arise to meet this goal, leading and bringing together the necessary teams to carry out the proposed changes. Additionally, you will be directly involved in leading various projects focused on improving the operational aspects of the business.
What the Candidate Will Do
Ensure that all physical resources at the locations are available and meet Uber Freight's safety standards (racks, signage, layout distribution, security systems, etc.).
Maintain an adequate security system (cameras, monitoring system, alarms, sensors, etc.) to safeguard resources and employees.
Delegate necessary maintenance tasks to the appropriate responsible parties.
Direct interaction and negotiation with service providers.
Keep up to date with applicable safety regulations.
Implement and maintain strict 5S control. Along with site managers, ensure that facilities are kept clean and organized according to Uber Freight's standards.
Create and maintain a preventive and corrective maintenance system for the facilities.
Manage and optimize the electrical energy needed for operations.
Identify waste and losses related to facilities (excess movement, transportation, energy).
Implement and deploy new systems and technologies to maintain Uber Freight's vision at its facilities.
Present cost-benefit analysis proposals to management.
Project management of miscellaneous projects, including ERP system deployment, quality controls, use of new technologies.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent education
Minimum of 5+ years related experience as a facilities manager managing multi-site, multi-client, warehouse operations in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Fluent in English and Spanish, with excellent communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of US/Mexico Customs regulations and operations and CTPAT regulations
Working Knowledge and Utilization of WMS integration into ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
Basic knowledge in plumbing, electricity, HVAC systems.
Predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance experience.
Software: Microsoft Access and Excel skills for statistical analysis
Familiarity with Lean methodologies and tools for project management
