Job Description
Position Overview
As an Associate, Origination you will be responsible for implementing the sales and marketing strategy in the Western US markets by developing new and existing customer relationships, communicating Invenergy's story and key attributes of potential product offerings, and proposing and structuring clean energy power transactions for the company's wind, solar, energy storage and thermal resource portfolio. The role would be an ideal growth opportunity for an ambitious self-starter looking to build on existing experience in the energy industry to help fuel the growth of one of the most dynamic and entrepreneurial companies in the industry.
Responsibilities
Preform energy market research and analysis in order to communicate market intelligence with team and other business units .
Identify new origination prospects, propose outreach strategy for all products and technologies under development, including key customer messaging .
Assist in the development of proposals and pricing for opportunities while working with cross-functional teams .
Support the origination, structuring, and closing of large wholesale power transactions in coordination with the Commercial Transactions team .
Develop and maintain strong customer and business relationships .
Develop marketing collateral to support sales and marketing strategy, customer outreach and strategic communication .
Maintain comprehensive records of submitted proposals and pricing models.
Maintain CRM software with latest status on outreach efforts .
Required Skills
Bachelor's Degree.
3-5 years' experience in the power sector .
Ability to travel up to 25% of the time .
Preferred Skills
Knowledge of the electric utility industry and electric energy markets .
Experience with PPA structures and contracting .
Working knowledge of RTO operations, electric transmission , power generation , and storage technologies .
Track record of success in a development or sales capacity in the clean energy sector .
Strong sales, networking, leadership, negotiation and time management skills .
Outstanding problem solving, strategic thinking, verbal and written communication skills .
Ability to work independently and with a team.
Ability to make decisions with limited information .
Demonstrated ability to perform under significant time and pressure conditions .
The base pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for the position. Invenergy considers a number of factors when determining base pay offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education and skills.
