Hillcrest is seeking a Full-Time Independent Living and Activities Specialist to add to our team of treatment professionals, offering a pay of $19 per hour. In this role, you will provide both on-and-off-campus activities that enhance the psychosocial development of residents. The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 8 am - 5 pm, ensuring you can maintain a healthy work-life balance.

WHAT IS THIS POSITION RESPONSIBLE FOR?
Obtain and maintain ARISE knowledge via ongoing agencies.
Implement the Behavior Modification and Behavior Management system per policy.
Provide group or individual skill building sessions to address tangible and intangible skills.
Work with administrative staff to plan programs for Youth Care Workers, stake holders, residents, and families.
Ensure that appropriate activities are scheduled, posted, and conducted in a timely manner.
Supervise, participate in, and evaluate residential activities both on and off campus.
Arrange for and provide transportation to and from campus activities.
Incorporate Independent Living Skills training into activities program and document in resident charts.
Provide IL case management services, which may include:
Accompanying youth into community settings.
Purchasing items necessary to achieve Independent Living goals.
Assist in transportation needs related to Independent Living.
Provide advocacy services in community staffings, i.e.: schools, mental health.
Assist youth in acquiring employment, housing, education, income maintenance and daily living skills.
WHAT'S REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION?
Bachelor degree in social work or related human service field preferred.
SCHEDULE: Monday through Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Must have knowledge of relevant clinical issues and demonstrate clinical expertise for populations served.
Must have valid driver's license and qualify for Company vehicle liability insurance.
Candidates must pass required background checks including county/state checks, fingerprinting, CPS check, sex offender registry check, and drug screen.
