Aircraft Structural Mechanic - F-18




Jacksonville, FL




Contract Position




$26.05-$32.98/Hour

Responsibilities:

• 
  Repair and overhaul structural components for F-18 aircraft, ensuring compliance with aviation standards.


• Perform structural modifications, sheet metal repairs, and assembly of aircraft components, including flight controls, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and mechanical components.


• Troubleshoot and diagnose airframe and power plant malfunctions, applying technical expertise to restore equipment functionality.


• Interpret blueprints, manufacturer manuals, and technical documentation to execute repairs and modifications accurately.


• Utilize specialized aircraft tools, including test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, sheet metal brakes, and shears.


• Conduct close-tolerance drilling and precision measuring for aircraft structural repairs.


• Ensure adherence to technical publications and documentation, including aircraft logs and records.


• Lead teams in complex structural repairs as needed and maintain project schedules.

Qualifications:
