Volt is immediately hiring for an experienced Glass Laser Production Worker for San Marcos, Ca.
Under general supervision, operates a glass lathe to fabricate highly complex bore envelope assemblies in accordance with established practices, procedures, and work instructions.
As a Glass Laser Production Worker you will:
Fabricates bore envelope assemblies.
Cut and gauge bores.
Fire polish glass and bore material.
Visually inspect product for defects.
Sand blast bore.
Bead Kovar on assemblies.
Fire polish glass and bore material.
Monitor equipment for operating parameters and notify supervisor of any problems.
Perform standard equipment set up and maintenance
Complies with health and safety policies and procedures.
Supports company values including ethical conduct and high integrity in all actions
This is a direct hire opportunity
The ideal candidate will have:
Good interpersonal skills
Ability to work with technical personnel.
Highly skilled in glass blowing techniques
Good math skills
Able to solve practical problems
High School Diploma or general education (GED) and 5 yrs. experience as a glass lathe operator; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees in the organization.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Glass Working Certificate, desirable.
Pay Rate:50,000 - 54,000
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
