The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for processing payroll for the weekly pay cycle for approximate 2,000 US & CAD employees. This position is also responsible for assisting with wage & tax reporting to ADP, state & unemployment agencies, including registration, researching unresolved items and communicating with agencies, etc. The ideal candidate must be comfortable working in fast past environment, must demonstrate initiative, be positive thinker, and be a team player.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Assist location HR & plant managers with the submission & approval of timesheets using KRONOS
Calculate gross to net Weekly Payroll using Workday system, with integration to ADP Compliance for tax reporting
Review & audit employee data & payroll results for accuracy
Coordinate with Treasury Dept on payroll funding for taxes & wages
Communicate with managers on clarification of submitted adjustments
Respond & resolve employees payroll inquiries
Income Withholding Orders (garnishments)
Assist with annual internal & external audits
Respond & complete income / employment verifications, as needed
Perform other tasks as assigned by Payroll Manager
Other duties may be assigned

Education and/or Experience Requirements:
Associate degree, preferred
High School diploma required
Workday ERP experience, ideal
3 years of payroll processing experience, preferred
General Accounting knowledge ideal
