Information System Security Officer - Contingent on Contract Award

We are seeking an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to support the United States Space Force at Schriever Space Force Base in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
NOTE: This is not a remote/telework job. This job requires the selected applicant to have an active U.S. Government-issued security clearance at time of hire and, therefore, requires U.S. citizenship.
JOB DESCRIPTION The ISSO will be involved in multiple aspects of cybersecurity operations and will partner with program/site leads as well as government staff and mission partners to maintain an effective information security program. This position manages Top Secret (TS) information system networks to include user access, software upgrades, and control of associated equipment.
Responsibilities
Manage TS networks and ensure controlled access and update to an SCI system.
Patching updates and other system administration related tasks on TS networks such as JWICS, VIAS, Blue/Red SIS, and Defense Red Switch Network (DRSN) or equivalent.
Obtain user accounts on information systems for personnel with sufficient need and mission impact.
Receive, inspect, approve, and record all equipment entering and exiting SCIFs in accordance with appropriate regulations such as DoDM 5105.21 M1.
Ensure equipment is installed and removed in accordance with all SCI regulations and Tempest policy.
Verify Information Assurance requirements are satisfied at an acceptable physical and logical architecture specifications level of risk.
Basic Qualifications
Experience working in information assurance or cybersecurity roles supporting classified DoD environments.
Experience managing TS networks and controlling access and updates to an SCI system.
Experience with physical and logical architecture specifications as it relates to information assurance requirements and risk management.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with Space-Based Infrared System (SIBRS) related mission and communication networks.
Strong interpersonal and written/oral communication skills to coordinate with program/site leads as well as government staff and mission partners.
Experience working on/with Government contracts.
Detail-oriented team member who can consistently meet deadlines and is able to work independently as needed.
Able to multi-task and work with a diverse work group of vendors, executive managers, subcontractors, consultants, and other professionals.
Education-Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity or other related field and 3+ years of experience, or Master’s degree.
And
DoD 8570 IAM Level I (Security+) or higher baseline certification (CISSP preferred).
Other
Must pass a drug test.
U.S. citizenship required.
Must have a fully adjudicated (not an interim) U.S. Government-issued security clearance at time of hire.
