JobSummary:
The Sr. Project Manager is responsible for the overall managementand execution of assigned projects including monitoring project schedules, workassignments, budgets and manpower expenditures. The Project Manager is theprimary interface with the client, contractors, internal engineeringdepartment, and internal technical service representatives.
This Sr. Project Manager role will be responsible for managingprojects and business development within the oil and gas sector.
JobDuties and Responsibilities:
ProjectManagement
• Project Management covering all engineeringphases from basic, detail, commissioning, and construction according to thecontractual requirements;
• Ensure that the right product is developed anddelivered to meet Company's quality standard, and contract requirements;
• Utilize project management methodologies,system and tools as defined by Company;
• Lead Project Teams and facilitate thecommunication and interaction amongst the functional representatives;
• Track project against its schedule, budget andagainst phase review objectives, reporting status to management and customer ona regular basis, and executive staff on an as needed basis;
• Develop and implement recovery plans foroff-schedule and unanticipated eventualities;
• Prepare periodic management and/or customerreports and presentations;
• Approval and/or coordination of engineeringproject teams;
• Prepare and conduct Project Meetings;
• Review and verify project estimates monthly;
• Provide feedback regarding employeeperformance on a project team to the functional manager for documentation;
• Recommend new processes where needed toimprove quality or on-time delivery.
BusinessDevelopment
• Further develop successful relationships thatfacilitate the growth of work opportunities with our current clients;
• Identify new clients and opportunities forengineering consulting services in the oil & gas industry;
• Arrange and lead company services andcapabilities presentations;
• Collaborate with other company BusinessDevelopment professionals to monitor market conditions, trends and developstrategies to optimize the company's ability to provide a competitive product;
• Collaborate or lead in the preparation ofproposals, presentations, and marketing materials;
• Elevate the company's reputation by activelyparticipating in industry associations.
Qualifications(Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):
Basic or Minimum Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering;
• Requires twenty (20) years' experience thatreflects a progressive path from project design to project manager and otherleadership roles;
• Experience must include employment history thatreflects longevity through completed project phases on multiple projects orentire life of a project which includes multiple phases;
• Experience must reflect significant work historyin greenfield developments;
• Work history must reflect significant and recentoffshore oil and gas experience;
• Demonstrated, proven skills in the specificareas such as client, staff, and project management;
• Experience must include significant High ValueEngineering Center (HVEC) coordination and management;
• Strong negotiation skills;
• Intermediate level skills with Microsoft Officesoftware.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with operating company in the oil andgas industry;
Working Conditions
Interaction with other team members, as well as supervisors and client personnel;
May be required to travel out of town on a periodic basis to obtain project field data or attend project meetings;
Field duties may require outdoor work in a plant, facility, terminal or offshore environment;
Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection;
May be at more than one job site in a day and must be able to tolerate climate changes.
