Job Description:


We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Commercial Estimator to join a reputable construction company in Houston, Texas. This is a unique opportunity to work closely with a retiring estimator, gaining valuable insights and experience over the course of a year before taking over the role.


Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects.


• Analyze project plans and specifications to determine the scope of work.


• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure accurate and comprehensive estimates.


• Review and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids.


• Maintain and update cost databases and estimating software.


• Provide support during the bidding and negotiation phases of projects.


• Monitor project costs and provide regular updates to management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.


• Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial construction estimating.


• Strong analytical and mathematical skills.


• Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.


• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
