SUMMARY

The Application Development Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining secure and scalable applications that leverage Microsoft technologies and cloud services. The Application Development Engineer will develop new features and enhancements, as well as provide operational support, to Imperative Chemical Partner's main internal and external facing web-based platform and mobile applications. He/she will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, develop high-quality software solutions, conduct code reviews, and ensure best practices in the software development lifecycle. Additionally, he/she will work to optimize existing functionality, integrate APIs, write and execute unit tests, and implement continuous integration practices. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in designing, developing, and deploying robust applications on Azure, utilizing various Azure services to enhance application performance and scalability.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications


• Maintain and enhance existing applications while troubleshooting issues as they arise


• Document development processes, code changes, and maintain software quality standards


• Design, develop, and implement applications using C# and .NET


• Develop and maintain cross-platform mobile applications using the Flutter framework for iOS and Android


• Utilize Entity Framework Core for efficient database management and querying


• Manage deployment pipelines to Azure, ensuring robust application performance and scalability

REQUIRED SKILLS, EDUCATION & KNOWLEDGE: 

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with a variety of stakeholders and cross-functional teams.


• Experience with Azure deployment and familiarity with other Azure services (e.g., Azure Functions, Azure App Services)


• Strong understanding of Entity Framework Core and database design concepts.


• Experience with the Flutter framework for mobile application development on iOS and Android.


• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and web services integration.


• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, MIS, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.


• Minimum of 3 years of experience in application development using .NET and JavaScript


• Familiarity with Agile methodologies
