Candidates must be local for this role*** Hiring Manager Intake Notes: • What is the working environment for this role? • IE office based, lab based, manufacturing floor? EW will be lab and office based. 50/50. EW will be working with lab instruments onsite. No remote work will be available. • What are the exact shift hours/schedule the contractor will be working/reporting? 9 AM - 5 PM PT, EW will need to be able to support core business hours • What type of qualities/characteristics are you looking for in candidates to work best with your team? Someone who has worked in automation, needs to have good communication and people skills. EW will be regularly partnering with scientists in a collaborative way. • When reviewing resumes, what stands out to you when looking for the right applicants? Looking for a candidate with experience in Microsoft Dot Net Development, preferred language is C# (c-sharp), looking for candidates with "dev ops support": Our DevOps consists of GitLab, Team City, and AWS • Ideally the hiring manager is looking for a candidate who has the above experience academically or professionally, although they will need to be able to hit the ground running with this experience on the job. • What is your minimum education and years of work experience you think it most suitable for this role? • What education background would you wish your ideal candidate to have? • What industry experience do you wish to see in an ideal candidate for this role have and how many years of experience? Looking for someone with at least BS degree in Computer Science and at least 4 years of work experience, ideally. • Day to day responsibilities will be building lab scale solutions to help scientists accelerate the science they are executing. Using automation for data integration to control devices. EW will be rapidly going from one project to the next and need to be comfortable working in a fast paced environment. Develop software to: (1) control 3rd party and in-house, novel lab automation devices. (2) automate data between lab automation and LIMS systems (e.g. Benchling) in close partnership with our infrastructure ecosystem team (3) Manage DevOps infrastructure (GitLab, Team City, AWS).
