Salary: $19.00 USD Hourly - $34.00 USD Hourly

Description:
Manufacturer in the Orlando area is seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Mechanic to join their team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of filling and packaging machines. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our production lines. This is a 2nd shift position.


Responsibilities:

• Preventative Maintenance:
  
  
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on filling, packaging, and related equipment to minimize downtime.
  
  
  • Lubricate, clean, and adjust machinery as needed.
  
  
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues.
  
  
  
  


• Troubleshooting and Repair:
  
  
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic malfunctions in filling and packaging machines.
  
  
  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and implement effective solutions.
  
  
  • Replace worn or damaged parts.
  
  
  
  


• Equipment Setup and Changeovers:
  
  
  • Perform equipment changeovers and setups for different product runs.
  
  
  • Ensure accurate and efficient machine adjustments.
  
  
  
  


• Technical Documentation:
  
  
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
  
  
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
  
  
  
  


• Safety Compliance:
  
  
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including lockout/tagout procedures.
  
  
  • Ensure a safe working environment.
  
  
  
  


• Collaboration:
  
  
  • Work closely with production and engineering teams to optimize equipment performance.
  
  
  • Provide technical support to machine operators.
  
  
  
  

Qualifications:

• Experience:
  
  
  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Mechanic in a manufacturing environment.
  
  
  • Extensive experience with filling and packaging machines.
  
  
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  
  
  
  


• Technical Skills:
  
  
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals and schematics.
  
  
  • Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  
  
  • Experience with electrical systems and controls.
  
  
  • Ability to use hand and power tools.
  
  
  
  


• Education:
  
  
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or associate's degree in a related field preferred.
  
  
  
  


• Skills:
  
  
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  
  
  • Strong attention to detail.
  
  
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
