About the Company - The Judge Group is in search of a Cost Accountant that will perform advancedcost accounting analyses to compare estimated costs to actual costs and prepare a variety of related budget reports for a Global Food Manufacturer to join their Flagship US site.



About the Role - Serve as an assistant/backup role to the Operations Finance Manager. Assist in month-end closing, analyze inventory evaluation, and inventory roll forward. Assist with the quarterly physical inventories. Perform inventory cycle counts, and analyze variances to resolve issues. Set up and update standard costs of manufactured goods. Analyze cost accounting data. Establish costs of business processes such as administration, labor, shipping, etc. Recommend changes to the company's processes and policies to reduce cost and maximize profit. Advising executives and upper management on appropriate costing based on financial data. Recommend strategies to CFO and Operations Finance Manager.



Responsibilities

• Serve as an assistant/backup role to the Operations Finance Manager


• Assist in month-end closing, analyze inventory evaluation, and inventory roll forward


• Maintain the inventory relief process of subcomponents in creating high-level parts


• Assist with the quarterly physical inventories


• Perform inventory cycle counts, and analyze variances to resolve issues


• Set up and update standard costs of manufactured goods


• Analyze cost accounting data


• Establish costs of business processes such as administration, labor, shipping, etc.


• Recommend changes to the company's processes and policies to reduce cost and maximize profit


• Advising executives and upper management on appropriate costing based on financial data


• Recommend strategies to CFO and Operations Finance Manager

Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance. 2+ years experience in cost accounting. Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office products. Superior knowledge of financial reporting software tools and ERP software. Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles & Cost Accounting Standards.
