LIFEGUARD CERTIFICATION: If NOT certified, will be required to take the certification course held on April 26th & 27th, and May 3rd & 4th.
JOB LOCATION: Waukee Family YMCA
SHIFTS AVAILABLE: All Shifts Available - Weekends and Weekday Mornings Preferred
PAY RANGE: $11.00-$13.00/hour
CLOSING DATE FOR APPLICATIONS: April 16, 2025 - Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.

POSITION SUMMARY:
As a Lifeguard, you will be responsible for supervising the activities of the members / guests in the aquatic department and to ensure their safety.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Enforce rules and procedures.
Keep pool and pool deck free of obstructions and safety hazards.
Maintain constant surveillance of the water and pool deck areas.
Handle equipment as assigned to ensure safety.
Record chemical readings.
Know emergency procedures and be able to demonstrate them.
Maintain emergency equipment.
Respond to all emergencies.
Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor or designated staff person.
Demonstrate and support the objectives of the Association as embodied in the mission statement and values.
