The gorgeous Waldorf Astoria Resort in Maui, Grand Wailea, is looking for a Wellness Manager to join the Kilolani Spa Team!

Located on 40 acres of lush tropical gardens, this Forbes 4-Star, AAA 4-Diamond property is consistently ranked among the world's best resorts with 780 rooms, 100,000 square feet of banquet space, and 7 food and beverage outlets. This includes 3 restaurants, 3 bars, a cafe, and in-room dining.

In this role,you will be responsible for overseeing and supporting all technicians, professional product management, and partnering with the spa management team to ensure a cohesive operation.

The ideal candidate will have previous Spa Management experience in a luxury setting, experience with managing a large team, preparing schedules, managing inventory and is licensed in Massage Therapist or Aesthetics.

What will I be doing?

As the Wellness Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and supporting all technicians, professional product management, and partnering with the spa management team to ensure a cohesive operation throughout. This includes but is not limited to:


  • Supervise massage therapist and esthetician team, as well as their designated team lead technicians, and Spa Expeditor on a daily basis to include but not limited to training, developing, scheduling, performance reviews/standards testing, and coaching/counseling.

    • Support the recruitment of service provider teams. Assist in hiring service providers with appropriate credentials, experience, and with an enthusiasm for guest service and luxury.
    • Engage with guests, when needed to ensure the highest levels of satisfaction.
    • Hold regular departmental meetings
  • Responsible for the creation and daily adherence of scheduling and balancing guidelines.

    • Execute daily service provider schedule adjustments based on business levels and needs including but not limited to, occupancy levels, group business and schedules, and events within the resort.
    • Partner with the Spa Expeditor on a daily basis to ensure that schedules are correct, all scheduling adjustments have been made with accuracy, and all appointments are properly balanced on the visual books throughout the day.
  • Partner with Director of Spa Operations to create and follow a par level system in order to support the ordering of professional products, as well as the portioning of products for each staff and treatment type.
  • Manage the back bar supply for all facial services and ensure reasonable stocking levels
  • Draft purchase order for spa back bar inventory via Birchstreet software
  • Partner with Senior Director of Spa and Wellness and Spa Sales Manager to ensure commercial success of treatments including sales strategy, treatment costing, menu engineering, and new treatment development/modifications.
  • Support the daily operations of the spa, as a part of the Spa Management Team including:

    • Attend weekly spa departmental meetings and other scheduled meetings to support business operations, e.g., tentative review, lost business review, group pick-up, etc.
    • Develop and administer spa technician trainings to support Forbes 5-star service and guest experience standards
    • Act as Spa MOD, when required.

Salary Range : The annual salary range for this role is $70,000 - $80,000 and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location.
