Job Overview

Under general supervision and within the regulatory scope of practice, assist in the provision of direct patient care by performing routine patient care procedures, and technical and clerical supportive services in the clinic setting. The M.A.III may administer intramuscular, subcutaneous or intra-dermal injections and may perform skin tests, administer oral medication, venipunctures, and skin punctures for blood specimens.

Minimum Requirements

• High School graduate or GED along with Medical Assistant diploma required.

• A California phlebotomist license is preferred.

• Minimum of 4 years of experience, preferred

• Minimum of 1 year of experience working with a frail or elderly population is preferred.

• BLS certification required

• Bilingual preferred.

Compensation

$24.00 - $28.15 hourly
