Join the Publix Technology as a Senior Software Engineer where you will be part of a team implementing new technology solutions and/or vendor solutions to grow the needs of the Manufacturing / Refrigeration business areas.
The most suitable hire for this position will be a technical candidate with keen analytical mindset, planning, implementing vendor solutions, creating install and implementation plan, robust problem-solving abilities, mentoring, and presentation skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with management, peers, technology vendors, and business partners. Candidate with some development experience leveraging C#, .NET Core, Web API, and SQL along with Azure DevOps would be plus.
Job Responsibilities
Coordinate with external vendors and suppliers for technology procurement in implementing vendor solutions and ongoing maintenance of manufacturing systems and other relevant software.
Lead system implementation projects, including defining project scope, timelines, and deliverables, while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Work closely with engineering teams to integrate new technology into existing systems
Collaborate with various IT departments to ensure seamless integration of new systems
Investigating production issues and conducting root cause analysis to identify the underlying problems and develop corrective actions.
Provide technical support on manufacturing technologies/systems
Monitor and evaluate the performance of implemented technologies to ensure they are meeting expected outcomes
Collaborate with business area and team members to develop features and user stories with clear requirements and acceptance criteria
Ensure technology solutions and enhancements meet or exceed change management, security, and compliance policies
Work with security compliance team to remediate security vulnerabilities and perform other security related work
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related analytical field or equivalent experience
5+ years’ professional experience implementing large scale enterprise applications
5+ years’ experience analyzing complex, enterprise business problems or processes and translating business requirements into technology solutions that factor in system performance usability, quality, cross-system interdependencies, scalability, and total cost of ownership
5+ years’ experience with Windows Server and Windows Desktop solution
5+ years’ experience with SQL Server databases
Experience with implementing security and access controls for enterprise solutions
Experience with remediation of security vulnerabilities
Experience in network segmentation and firewall
Experience with change management processes
Experience in supporting large scale applications and performing root cause analysis
Ability to participate after hours and weekend support activities
5+ years of experience with vendor applications deployment to and application server
5+ years of experience in development experience with the .NET framework including C#
3+ years of experience working with Azure Cloud Platform and Azure Services
Experience working with web server and Single Sign On (SSO) technologies
Experience with Apache Kafka
Experience with Angular
Experience with Kubernetes
Experience with mobile development and implementation
Experience in an agile scrum environment and working closely with business partners
Experience with supply chain systems, preferably with manufacturing / refrigeration systems
