Job Description:

Successful candidate will develop working relationships with all vendors to improve product quality and warranty recovery. Function as the primary technical warranty expert and link between all SSG PSS brands and vendors regarding warranty claim recovery. Function as part number specialist for establishment of service parts. Function as primary backup for both dealer warranty claim processing and administrative responsibilities for the SSG PSS case management and knowledgebase systems.

Key Activities/Responsibilities 


  1. Dealer Relations

    • Administrative responsibility for dealer account management

    • Responsible for maintaining accurate dealer database including employees, addresses and customers

    • Provides onboarding and training for dealers.



  2. Vendor Relations

    • Function as the primary contact person with our vendors for all SSG PSS brands regarding warranty claim reimbursement

    • Analyze and monitor claim recovery.

    • Analyze and monitor vendor scorecard, number of claims, days open, and recovered dollars

    • Review vendor scorecard with vendors on an annual basis.

    • Work with the SSG PSS product quality engineer to have suppliers implement corrective actions.



  3. Warranty Claim Recovery

    • Work in conjunction with the warranty administrator to ensure all required data is collected from our dealers in their claim submissions

    • Coordinate with Engineering, Technical Service and other technical information personnel for root cause analysis and proper determination of vendor liability for OEM warranty claims

    • Identify high dollar and repeat failures causing warranty expense and report to Warranty Manager

    • Prepare all documentation and supporting information for claims submitted to vendors

    • Coordinate the return of failed parts from our dealers to our vendors



  4. Part Number Administration

    • Assures Service Parts are identified for SSG PSS Products.

    • Reviews part number administration process.

    • Participates as a key member of a cross functional ECR Team to identify Service Part release.

    • Obtains component part numbers, drawings, and other key service information from SSG PSS suppliers.

    • Assures activation of Service Parts in JD Edwards business management systems.

    • Works with the Sales and Marketing teams to develop part pricing for service parts as required.



  5. Supplier agreements

    • Work with the plant purchasing teams to develop supplier agreements.

    • Provide service and field service parts requirements for suppliers, as applicable.

    • Work with the plant and SSG PSS purchasing teams to improve supplier quality.



  6. Technical information

    • Distribute vendor’s technical bulletins, technical service tips, and technical communications to SSG PSS technical publications and service departments

    • Work with the technical information team to gather needed information for operator manuals, service manuals, decals, parts catalogs, and training materials.



  7. Case Management & Knowledgebase Systems

    • Administrative responsibility for function and content

    • Coordinate with contributing departments on content



  8. Order entry and product repairs

    • Responsible for JDE orders and RMA’s

    • Coordinates with technicians on product repairs

    • Communicates with customers.



  9. Other:

    • Perform other duties, assignments and special projects as assigned



Job Requirements:


  • College degree preferred or 3-5 years of work experience in a similar function

  • A minimum of five years of vehicle product experience, vehicle repair, technical publications or related technologies

  • 3+ years of part number administration and warranty information management

  • Experience in Vendor relationship management preferred

  • Other education and experience in service, engineering, or maintenance-related fields may be considered in place of the above requirements

  • Self-starter with positive attitude and high work ethic

  • Demonstrated thorough understanding of mechanical and electrical systems as it relates to functionality and parts location

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Proficient in JDE operating system a plus

  • Ability to operate various office equipment including, but not limited to, computers, computer projectors, digital cameras, etc.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat

Salary Range: $54,454 - $77,792 Plus Bonus
