Welder Day Shift at ORBIS Corporation in Piedmont, South Carolina

Job Description:

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Interpret blueprints, specifications, diagrams or schematics to determine appropriate welding process.


• Inspect completed welds to determine structural soundness.


• Start up and shut down machines properly.


• Consistently and safely operates machines at or above standards of operation including waste, quality, efficiency and utilization.


• Troubleshoot, identify and correct machine/rack -related problems through proper adjustments to various parts of the machine.


• Work in a safe and efficient manner using all personal protective, safety equipment and devices that are


• required, in accordance with all STW documentation (if STW is not developed for any process within this job, proper training techniques must be followed).


• Be actively involved in Continuous Improvement; promote and sustain any and all CI, 5S and STW activities.


• Ability to pass MIG welding test.


• Knowledge of lockout tag out procedures
