Job Title: Temp-to-Hire or Direct Hire Payroll Specialist Location: Ranch Cordova, CA Pay: $35 - $40 per hour
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team on a temp-to-hire basis. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of payroll experience and a strong understanding of payroll processes, compliance, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Process bi-weekly and/or semi-monthly payroll for employees
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
Manage payroll tax filings, garnishments, and deductions
Maintain accurate employee payroll records and handle discrepancies
Assist with year-end payroll reporting (W-2s, 1099s, etc.)
Collaborate with HR and accounting teams to ensure accurate payroll processing
Handle multi-state payroll processing, if applicable
Qualifications:
5+ years of payroll processing experience
Proficiency in ADP, Paychex, or other payroll software
Strong knowledge of payroll laws, taxes, and compliance requirements
High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
