The Supply Chain 3PL Manager is responsible for oversight of operations at Civica's third-party logistics (3PL) partner in Durham, NC and any 3PL partners added to the network in the future. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with industry regulations, manage Civica inventory, and coordinate with various departments and logistics providers to oversee the movement of Civica products and materials.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee on-site daily operations of Civica product and materials at partner 3PL facilities and coordinate product shipments to and from the Petersburg site to meet the production and distribution schedules.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards, including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Distribution Practices.
Maintain accurate records of inventory within Civica's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, including receipts and shipments between facilities.
Perform cycle counts according to procedures to ensure accuracy within Civica and the 3PL's warehouse management systems.
Ensure products and materials are properly labeled upon receipt, storage, and shipment.
Implement and revise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for 3PL oversight and operations.
Handle and resolve any logistics-related issues or discrepancies.
Ensure the safe and efficient storage and transportation of pharmaceutical products.
Analyze supply chain data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
Complete thorough root cause investigations and corrective actions for any deviations in a timely manner.
Assist with oversight of the Civica Petersburg warehouse when needed.
Basic Qualifications and Capabilities:
Bachelor's degree in related area and 5+ years in Supply Chain and/or Warehouse Management, with increasing responsibility in a cGMP environment.
Experience interacting with State and Federal regulatory officials.
Advanced computer applications skills (Excel, Word, Visio, ERPs, and PP).
Experience in the use of an ERP system is required.
Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills with the ability to speak and communicate effectively with both senior management and front-line staff personnel.
