Job Description:

The Tool and Warehouse Assistant Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating and directing the operations of a company tool program for effective delivery, maintenance and repair programs related to the companies tool assets. Primary responsibilities are to manage and support the tool needs for various branches within the company, supervise material handlers and manage costs of the tool branch. Follow company safety programs, ensure team of employees are working safe and safety is paramount when handling tools and on company sites. The position acts as a technical advisor on all tool equipment issues and assists the management team with equipment budgets and potential equipment purchases.


Responsibilities:


  • Maintain accurate inventory controls through continuous improvement in physical inventory management and inventory tracking through software

  • Help to supervise Material Handlers and coordinate their daily activities

  • Schedule deliveries

  • Help Tool Manager develop and support tool transportation planning and improve processes to optimize cost and ensure consistent, world-class service and delivery

  • Perform tool maintenance to ensure tools are in working order before going out to a job

  • Check tools in being returned from job sites and prepare to be sent out to their next destination

  • Serve as a contact person for tool requests
