Job Description:

The QA Technician is responsible for ensuring that all products meet the company's quality standards, food safety regulations, and customer specifications. They play a critical role in monitoring production processes, conducting inspections, and performing various tests to ensure the products are safe, consistent, and of high quality. The QA Technician works closely with production and management teams to address quality concerns and implement corrective actions as needed.




Primary Responsibilities:


  • Ensure the implementation of Quality Assurance procedures throughout all stages of production, such as batching, processing, filling, and packaging.

  • Conduct both physical and chemical evaluations on raw materials, finished products, and other samples as specified by the Quality Assurance guidelines.

  • Oversee the sampling, testing, and approval processes for bulk and refrigerated ingredients.

  • Perform pre-production checks, including equipment and environmental sanitation approval, and ensure compliance with product changeover standards.

  • Carry out validation for Clean-in-Place (CIP) processes and allergen testing procedures.

  • Organize and monitor the collection and secure storage of product samples during manufacturing.

  • Execute hold procedures by recording events for non-compliant ingredients, packaging materials, raw batches, and finished goods.

  • Validate and verify sanitation processes and allergen controls to ensure safety standards are met.

  • Review and authorize food safety and quality documentation generated during shifts.

  • Supervise the calibration and verification of in-line and in-process equipment, such as X-Ray systems, Metal Detectors, and filtration systems.

  • Ensure proper validation of Pre-Requisite Program records.

  • Assist in performing root cause analyses and help resolve customer complaints.

  • Support the maintenance and refinement of FSQ documentation practices.

  • Ensure the FSQ laboratory area is organized, clean, and well-maintained.


Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proficient in documenting, analyzing, and interpreting records and product specifications.

  • Ability to apply company policies and procedures effectively.

  • Attention to detail with the ability to accurately record inspection results.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of experience in a Quality Assurance role within the food or beverage manufacturing industry.

  • Training and experience with HACCP protocols.
