Schedule: Hybrid - 2 days in office standard, 3 days remote (Onboarding: Tues-Thurs in office for first 6 months)
Position Opportunity:
The Director of Accounting will lead and optimize key financial functions, including Fixed Assets & Lease Accounting, Accounts Payable, and General Ledger Accounting. This individual will drive finance transformation initiatives, strengthen financial reporting, enhance internal controls, and implement process improvements for operational efficiency.
Position Responsibilities:
Lead and develop accounting teams, fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
3 Direct reports; 6 indirect reports
Oversee core accounting functions, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and GAAP compliance
Implement best practices in financial reporting, reconciliations, and internal controls
Develop and execute indirect tax compliance strategies
Manage banking and treasury functions, optimizing cash flow forecasting and working capital
Collaborate with FP&A to align financial strategies with business objectives
Work cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, and IT to enhance financial processes
Leverage technology and automation to drive efficiency in accounting operations
Ensure seamless external audits and compliance with regulatory requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred)
10+ years of progressive accounting experience
Minimum of 5 years managing direct and indirect reports
Strong knowledge of GAAP, fixed assets, lease accounting, and indirect tax compliance
Experience in cash management, treasury operations, and financial forecasting
Proven track record of implementing process improvements and automation
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong leadership and stakeholder management capabilities
