The Plant Accounts Payable Clerk (A/P Clerk) is responsible for supporting accounts payable activities for the facility. The Accounts Payable Clerk, under direct supervision, performs duties necessary for preparing invoices, statements, and vouchers for payment.



How you will make contributions that matter...

• Ensures timely and accurate processing of invoices.
  
  


• Reconciles invoices, apply accurate G/L codes/cost centers/POs, data entry of invoices into ERP system for processing as applicable.
  
  


• Scan invoices and invoice back-up for processing.
  
  


• Actively communicates approvals and tracks approval hierarchy to ensure timeliness of payment processing.
  
  


• Facilitates and supports new-vendor setup activities.
  
  


• Maintains accounts payable vendor files.
  
  


• Audits vendor set up and payment activities to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
  
  


• Assists with daily and monthly financial transactions related to Accounts Payable, such as vendor invoices, employee payments and accruals. Assures that these transactions are handled in accordance with the Saputo accounting policies & procedures.
  
  


• Complete cream/milk settlement and report yielding.
  
  


• Support FAM with month-end, quarter-end and fiscal year-end financial operations.
  
  


• Assists with resolution of vendor inquiries and discrepancies.
  
  


• Inventory and purchase office supplies.
  
  


• Support internal and external audits.
  
  


• Assists with coordination of accounts payable transactions and activities with Division accounting team.
  
  


• Comply with Saputo Code of Ethics and actively apply Saputo Values.
  
  


• Performs other duties as assigned.
  
  

You are best suited for the role if you...

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
  
  


• Associate of Arts degree with a concentration in accounting or related vocational certification.
  
  


• Minimum of 3 years Accounts Payable experience in a corporate environment.
  
  


• Knowledge of Accounts Payable controls and procedures.
  
  


• Previous experience with mainframe accounting systems, SAP Preferred.
  
  


• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, advanced MS Excel skills desired.
  
  


• Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
  
  


• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  
  


• Skill in organization and prioritization, and attention to detail.
  
  


• Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs; ability to lead others through change.
  
  


• Strong team player and leader with the ability to work across multiple functions and disciplines.
  
  


• Excellent math skills, ability to solve complex problems.

Salary Range: $38,260 to $50,220


Salary offers will vary commensurate with experience, education, skills, and training.
