We have an exciting opportunity for a SAP Basis & Security Administrator. This position offers flexibility to work remotely from Texas, or in a hybrid capacity in Arkansas.

POSITION SUMMARY

The SAP BASIS & Security Administrator is responsible for managing and supporting a range of SAP systems and technologies. This role requires expertise in system administration, security, configuration, and performance optimization of SAP environments, including SAP S/4HANA and SAP RISE. The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in SAP BASIS and Security, demonstrating proficiency in provisioning, authentication, authorization, and application-level security.

The successful candidate will work cross-functionally, supporting critical SAP infrastructure and implementation projects, including BTP/Clean Core initiatives. Strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and a collaborative mindset are essential.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

System Administration

  • Manage, monitor, and maintain various SAP systems.
  • Perform installations, upgrades, and configurations for SAP systems.
  • Ensure system integrity, availability, performance, and tuning.
  • Plan and execute SAP tuning strategies to optimize performance.
  • Install and configure SAP database and application servers.
  • Monitor SAP environments (e.g., system logs, work processes, traces, dumps, locks, disk space).

Implementation and Support

  • Provide BASIS and security support for BTP/Clean Core implementation projects.
  • Manage upgrade and migration activities (e.g., SUM processes).
  • Administer roles, Fiori security, GRC, and enforce separation of duties.
  • Collaborate with SAP support to resolve technical issues and OSS incidents.

Security and Compliance

  • Develop and implement security solutions to protect SAP systems from internal and external threats.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation on security roles, access control, and GRC compliance.

Technical Skill Development

  • Stay current on SAP technologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve SAP GRC, security, and controls.

Communication and Leadership

  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, team members, and cross-functional partners.
  • Provide leadership in project execution and offer guidance to junior team members.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 4+ years of hands-on SAP BASIS experience.
  • Minimum 4+ years of SAP Security experience with a focus on SAP S/4HANA and Fiori Security.
  • Experience with SAP GRC and SAP RISE is required.
  • Demonstrated success in SAP installations, monitoring, tuning, and HANA database administration.
  • Experience in large-scale SAP implementations and adherence to SAP best practices.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

  • Expertise in SAP transport management, client copies, and system refreshes.
  • Familiarity with SAP security automation and monitoring tools.
  • Strong technical knowledge of SAP S/4HANA architecture, system backup, and recovery.
  • Experience integrating 3rd-party tools for change management and monitoring.
  • Ability to lead implementations and manage project deliverables.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability and team collaboration.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Positive attitude toward continuous learning and process improvement.
