Summary

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Lead, Financial Planning & Analysis (Subscription-Based Revenue Ops) to oversee our subscription-based revenue operations. This role is pivotal in managing and optimizing financial planning activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, to support our organization's strategic objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in FP&A, with specific experience in subscription-based revenue models and proficiency in Workday Adaptive Planning.

Responsibilities

  • Financial Planning & Analysis: Lead the development and maintenance of comprehensive financial models for subscription-based revenue streams. Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.​
  • Subscription Revenue Management: Analyze subscription metrics, including customer acquisition, retention, churn rates, and lifetime value. Provide actionable insights to drive revenue growth and improve profitability.​
  • Reporting & Variance Analysis: Prepare detailed financial reports, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and key performance indicators (KPIs). Present findings to senior management with strategic recommendations.​
  • Workday Adaptive Planning: Manage and enhance the utilization of Workday Adaptive Planning as a budgeting, forecasting, and reporting tool for respective departments
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with business units to provide financial insights and support decision-making. Ensure projections are updated for business trends and strategic initiatives.​
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial planning and analysis activities.

Education & Experience Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.​

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in financial planning and analysis, with at least 2 years focused on subscription-based revenue models.​
  • Demonstrated experience in budget creation, financial modeling, and operational analytics.​
  • Proficiency in Workday Adaptive Planning is highly preferred.​
  • Experience in for-profit or association environments is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Analytical Aptitude: Strong ability to analyze and interpret complex financial data, including financial statements and subscription metrics.​
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with financial software applications; experience with NetSuite is preferred.​
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders effectively.​
  • Collaboration: Proven ability to work collaboratively across teams and build consensus among various levels of management.​
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment, manage multiple priorities, and adhere to tight deadlines.​
  • Integrity: Commitment to high standards, customer service, and ethical practices.

Work Environment

Hybrid Position (3 Days In-Office, 2 Days Remote):

  • This position follows a hybrid work schedule, requiring in-office presence [three days per week] and remote work [two days per week]. Core work hours will be designated by the department. The office environment includes a standard workstation setup with collaborative spaces, while remote work requires a reliable high-speed internet connection and a suitable home workspace. Employees must maintain availability during standard business hours and adhere to company policies for both in-office and remote work.

LI-Hybrid

The hiring range for this position is $90,000 to $115,000 per year. This range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications. SHRM offers a competitive and comprehensive total rewards package.
