Position will be a FLOATER in the Houston, TX & surrounding area. Must be able to have reliable travel to various locations.
Job Summary
The qualified candidate will be responsible for weighing and ticketing customer trucks at any one of 9 locations in the surrounding Houston area.
Essential Responsibilities
Follow Apex System instructions on ticketing and reporting.
Train and handle remote ticketing process from Katy, Rosenberg, and Tomball.
Excellent and focused customer service
Follow all safety rules, regulations and procedures as set forth by the Federal and State agencies & Martin Marietta policies.
Able to train and travel to locations in surrounding Houston area.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrate a positive, professional, upbeat attitude and energy level towards teammates, peers, and customers.
Participate in audits and reconciliation of inventory.
Responsible for identifying and reporting issues concerning maintenance and housekeeping.
Perform daily physical inspections of your assigned yard to make sure you know your inventory.
Ensure that yard functions are being performed such as stockpile labeling and identifying location of material.
Maintains good housekeeping in areas of responsibility.
Other duties as requested.
Preferred Education Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Basic computer knowledge/skills, Excel and Outlook
Proactive in SAFETY and works well in a team environment
Able to communicate effectively and positively with internal and external customers
Ability to work flexible hours and provide own transportation
Strong organizational and customer service skills
Must be able to multi-task and work independently
Excellent interpersonal skills to facilitate positive working relationships with internal and external customers
Ability to type at least 25 wpm
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
High ethical standards
Able to work occasional weekends
Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
Physical Requirements
Ability to stoop, bend, and reach to utilize files
Ability to sit at a desk 8+ hours per day
Visual ability to read detail reports and computer screen
Ability to communicate clearly in English by telephone and 2-way radio
WORKING CONDITIONS
Most time is spent indoor office environment at a Plant location with occasional outdoor job duties. There will be times where a weighmaster will required to walk their plant/location in all weather conditions-heat, cold, wet, dry and dusty. Must be able to work in areas where noise levels are up to 85 dbs.
