As a key player in ensuring high system uptime and operational efficiency, you'll directly support Medline's mission to deliver seamless supply chain solutions.

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Systems Analyst to join our Supply Chain Technology team. This role focuses on designing, implementing, and optimizing enterprise server environments that support key business applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Azure cloud infrastructure, server operations, automation, and security, along with enterprise monitoring and application deployment expertise.

Key Responsibilities

1. Server Operations, Application Deployment, & Automation


  • Maintain and administer scalable and secure Windows/Linux server environments, ensuring performance, stability, and security in both on-premises and Azure environments.

  • Optimize enterprise application deployments, including configurations, upgrades, and troubleshooting.

  • Develop and lead automation initiatives using PowerShell, Bash, Ansible, or Terraform to streamline system management and deployments.

  • Partner with infrastructure and development teams to proactively identify and implement performance and reliability improvements.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, security, and operations, to ensure system stability and optimal performance.

2. Network & Security Administration


  • Develop and enforce security strategies, configuring firewalls and security policies to protect enterprise systems.

  • Implement and manage SSL certificate lifecycles, endpoint security, and access control policies.

  • Ensure compliance with IT security policies and best practices, proactively addressing vulnerabilities.

3. Business Analytics & System Monitoring


  • Design and implement monitoring solutions that provide deep insights into system performance and business-critical applications.

  • Utilize AppDynamics, Splunk, and SolarWinds to detect anomalies, optimize performance, and enhance system reliability.

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to define and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) for application and infrastructure monitoring.

4. Azure Cloud & Infrastructure Management


  • Maintain and support Azure cloud infrastructure, ensuring availability, security, and performance.

  • Implement and optimize Azure-based automation and monitoring tools to enhance operational efficiency.

  • Assist in the transition of systems to Azure, ensuring a stable hybrid environment.

5. Incident Management & Troubleshooting


  • Lead incident response efforts, diagnosing complex system issues and minimizing business impact.

  • Conduct root-cause analysis (RCA) for recurring issues and design long-term solutions to prevent recurrence.

  • Document and refine troubleshooting workflows, ensuring a robust knowledge base for operational efficiency.

6. Change & Release Management


  • Develop and enforce change management best practices, ensuring controlled and seamless deployments with minimal risk.

  • Evaluate and mitigate risks associated with infrastructure and application changes, planning rollback strategies when necessary.

  • Lead coordination efforts with internal teams and vendors to ensure timely and high-quality system releases.

  • Maintain compliance with release governance standards and best practices to minimize system downtime.

7. Compliance & Continuous Improvement


  • Design and enforce compliance frameworks, ensuring system and infrastructure components adhere to IT security policies, ITGC, and industry regulations.

  • Participate in security audits and risk assessments, proactively addressing potential vulnerabilities.

  • Continuously research and recommend new technologies, automation tools, and industry best practices to improve system efficiency and reliability.

Minimum Job Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.

Experience:


  • 7+ years of experience supporting enterprise server environments with a focus on Azure cloud infrastructure and automation.

  • Proven experience in application deployment, troubleshooting, and enterprise system monitoring.

  • Proven ability to lead initiatives, manage cross-team projects, and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Experience with business analytics monitoring tools such as AppDynamics, Splunk, or SolarWinds.

Skills:


  • Strong experience supporting Azure cloud environments, including virtual machines, networking, security, and automation.

  • Experience with automation tools and scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Ansible, Terraform).

  • Strong understanding of enterprise security and compliance frameworks.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to bridge technical and business needs.

  • Preferred Skills:

  • Experience supporting supply chain or logistics systems (SAP, WMS).

  • Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).

  • Understanding of DevOps methodologies and automation practices.

The anticipated salary range for this position:

$110,240.00 - $165,360.00 Annual

The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. This role is bonus and/or incentive eligible. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
