Your Role: Position Brand Description – Poultry Marketing Advisor
The U.S. Poultry Marketing team is responsible for preparing strategic plans and implementing marketing tactics for the food safety portfolio of poultry brands within the U.S. Affiliate. The Poultry marketing advisor will play an integral role managing selected poultry brands to create a valued customer experience and grow sales.
Your Responsibilities:
Key Objectives/Deliverables
Development and implementation of product marketing plans to ensure achievement of desired outcomes
Facilitate and ensure communication, implementation, cohesiveness of brand campaigns and messaging
Coordination of strategies and tactics with ad agency, sales and technical teams
Plan and execute new product launches
Cross-functional collaboration with sales, management, IT, finance, market research, manufacturing, R&D, ad agency, and industry reps
Detailed Description Strategy/vision
Every marketing strategy starts with our approach with the customer
Understand the customer, their needs and how we can leverage our products/service
Knowledge of Elanco, animal health industry, customers and influencers
Grasp of the industry dynamics/economics and potential business impact
Product/brand and competitor knowledge, including technical and economic differentiators
Build comprehensive strategies and problem solve; high use of creativity
Find and leverage value & brand opportunities that start with the customer need
Planning
Ability to develop a marketing plan with compelling strategies and tactics that are measurable
Knowledge of Elanco marketing processes
Lead, engage and collaborate with the field (management team, sales and TCs) to meet goals
Agency relationship management
Budget allocation and management
Execution
Implement marketing plan
Knowledge of functions and internal key players — their priorities, needs and requirements to successfully implement tactics
Ability to prioritize tactics based on business impact; project management and alignment of multiple players
Establish and tracks key measures/milestones
Adjustment of plans based on new environmental changes to meet business goals
What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications):
Required Experience: 5+ years overall sales / marketing experience in animal health or closely related field.
Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Elanco Animal Health does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B or TN status) for this employment position.
