Job Description:

Location: REMOTE

Salary: $50.00 USD Hourly - $75.00 USD Hourly

Description: Our client is currently seeking a Security Compliance Specialist to assist with the deployment and optimization of Vanta, a security compliance tool. The role involves managing security questionnaires and ensuring accurate information is input into Vanta to streamline compliance processes.


This job will have the following responsibilities:

• Vanta Deployment & Optimization: Deploy Vanta, optimize its current setup, and ensure accurate data input.


• Risk Assessments & Audit Reviews: Perform risk assessments, conduct audit reviews, and recommend improvements.


• Policy Development: Develop, review, and manage IT policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines related to data governance.


• Evidence Collection: Collect and review evidence to attest that security controls are effective.


• Research & Compliance: Research IT security best practices, standards, laws, and regulations to ensure compliance with security and privacy frameworks.


• Risk Mitigation: Influence and negotiate actions to mitigate or prevent failures related to identified risks.


• Documentation: Create and maintain procedural documentation for cybersecurity processes, standards, systems, and infrastructure.


• IT Support: Assist IT departments with the design, implementation, and troubleshooting of cybersecurity technologies. Provide security guidance to technology teams.


• Automation: Pursue automation of security controls to minimize threats, vulnerabilities, and risks.


• Product Evaluation: Contribute to the creation and selection of functional and non-functional product evaluation requirements.


• Project Implementation: Assist with security project implementations related to data management or internal team needs.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Experience with deploying and optimizing Vanta.


• Strong understanding of IT security best practices, standards, laws, and regulations.


• Ability to perform risk assessments and audit reviews.


• Excellent documentation and procedural skills.


• Experience in automating security controls.


• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
