General Function:
Ensure consistency between product's performance, functional, and physical attributes with requirements, design, and operational information.
Analyze impacts of configuration management changes on lifecycle sustainment.
Assist with the development and management of Contract Data Requirement List (CDRL) requirements.
Maintain electronic database toolkits.
Support planning and implementation of Functional Configuration Audits (FCAs) and Physical Configuration Audits (PCAs).
Participate in government review meetings and teams to resolve configuration management issues.
Develop and execute the Configuration Control Board (CCB) charter and assist in its execution.
Review and update documentation for configuration/data management requirements.
Perform tasks related to configuration management and data management.
Assist with maintaining consistency of product attributes throughout its lifecycle.
Analyze the impact of configuration changes on sustainment.
Identify sources and uses for configuration management data.
Support system verification reviews (SVRs), FCAs, and PCAs.
Propose resolutions to conflicting engineering change proposal (ECP) recommendations.
Assist with assessing impacts of configuration changes on sustainment and supportability.
Review program specifications, engineering drawings, and conduct in-process reviews.
Request and assign nomenclature and Computer Program Identification Numbers (CPIN) for Configuration Items (CIs).
Ensure accurate marking of CIs and associated documentation, and establish/update controlled baselines.
Plan and schedule CCBs, prepare briefings, and track implementation of approved changes.
Determine CSA database requirements.
Monitor data input and track the configuration of fielded systems and equipment.
Monitor changes and status of configuration baseline documentation.
Resolve discrepancies between the Government and weapon system contractors.
Review Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), Contractor Change Proposals (CCPs), and Requests for Deviation (RFDs) for format and content.
QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION:
Bachelor's Degree in a related field and up to three years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline OR five years of directly related experience
Must possess and maintain a government security clearance at he Secret level.
Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft programs (including Excel, Word, Outlook)
Must be able to transport self to various facility sites, as required. If using your own motor vehicle, must possess a valid driver's license and proof of insurance.
