Position Summary...

We are seeking a dynamic Business Operations Leader - Workforce Operations to drive strategic workforce planning, operational efficiency, and organizational effectiveness. This role will focus on optimizing workforce management, ensuring talent alignment with business goals, and improving processes related to resource allocation, capacity planning, and operational performance.


The ideal candidate is a data-driven leader with strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of workforce operations, and experience in scaling and optimizing workforce strategies in a fast-paced environment.


About the Team: Our team drives technology within Walmart International, which has over 5,400 retail units operating outside of the United States under 55 banners in 26 countries including Africa, Canada, Central America, Chile, China, India, and Mexico.



What you'll do...




Key Responsibilities


Workforce Strategy & Planning:

• Develop and implement workforce strategies that align with business objectives, ensuring optimal staffing, skills alignment, and operational efficiency.
• Lead workforce forecasting, capacity planning, and resource allocation to support growth and scalability.
• Partner with HR and business leaders to drive workforce optimization initiatives, including skills development, succession planning, and talent deployment.



Operational Excellence:

• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance workforce productivity and efficiency.
• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure workforce effectiveness, utilization, and business impact.
• Drive automation and technology adoption in workforce operations, including workforce management tools and analytics platforms.



Cross-Functional Collaboration:
• Work closely with Finance, HR, and business unit leaders to ensure workforce planning aligns with financial and strategic goals.
• Collaborate with IT and technology teams to optimize workforce management systems and reporting capabilities.
• Partner with HR to design and implement workforce programs that enhance employee engagement, retention, and career development.



Change Management & Scalability:

• Lead workforce transformation initiatives to support business growth, organizational changes, and new operating models.
• Develop and execute change management strategies to drive adoption of new workforce processes and technologies.
• Monitor industry trends and best practices to keep workforce operations competitive and future ready.



Qualifications & Experience:
• Education: Bachelor's degree in business administration, Operations Management, HR, or a related field (MBA preferred).
• Experience: 8+ years of experience in business operations, workforce planning, or related fields, preferably in a fast-paced or complex environment.



Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in data-driven decision-making.
• Expertise in workforce management tools, forecasting models, and operational analytics.
• Proven ability to drive process improvements and implement workforce optimization initiatives.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing large-scale workforce initiatives.

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications...

Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, industrial engineering, engineering management, business,information systems, project/program management, information technology, finance, management, or related area and 6 years' experience inproject management, program management, program operations, or related area.Option 2: 8 years' experience in project management, program management, program operations, or related area.
3 years' supervisory experience.
