About Team: We are the Store Operations Accounting Team driving forward both quality and cost efficiencies. Our team is responsible for a variety of priorities including solving complex problems for our stakeholders by providing world-class services such as Inventory Accounting & Controls, Inventory Count Reconciliation, Cash Loss Prevention, and Wireless Support.
The role will lead the Inventory Accounting Center of Excellence team. This team is responsible for Inventory SOX processes, account reconciliation reviews, complex and/or ad hoc journal entries, leadership inquiries, navigating transformation on existing processes, internal and external audit support and financial inventory reporting. The successful candidate will provide leadership for this high-performing team in a dynamic environment as well as serve as a SME to support leadership requests and maintain rigorous business partner support.
What you'll do...
Leads the Inventory Accounting Center of Excellence team to deliver key financial control objectives, oversee financial integrity of significant journal entries, ensure team operational excellence, lead transformation efforts (both upstream and in-house), support business partners, and resolve defect root cause
Understands end-to-end process for areas of responsibility and serves as Inventory Accounting Subject Matter Expert for Enterprise Business Services while being the first point of contact with leadership and business partners as it relates to areas of responsibility
Analyzes and communicates financial risks to business partners and collaborates with cross functionally to mitigate such risks
Support the month end close process including overseeing journal entries, controls, reconciliation, and reporting processes related to Inventory Accounting
Eliminate obstacles to ensure key team deliverables are met in a timely manner
Be a forward-thinking leader on current and potential control concerns
Drive efficiencies to improve system functionality and reliability in addition to simplifying when possible
Promotes and supports company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by training and providing direction to others in their use and application, ensuring compliance with them, and utilizing and supporting the Open Door Policy
What you'll bring:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
8+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or related field.
5+ years of experience in leadership or management role.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include:
