Job Description:

We are looking for a talented Senior Cloud Engineer to join our team and lead the design and implementation of large enterprise public cloud environments. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects and make a significant impact on our cloud infrastructure.
Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and expertise for AWS Foundation integration.


• Define standards and patterns for leveraging AWS services efficiently.


• Lead automation of AWS integration processes and tasks.


• Develop frameworks and tools to enable development teams to consume authorized AWS services.


• Partner with the DevTools team to develop and deploy a CI/CD pipeline using tools such as Gitlab, Maven, and Jenkins.


• Ensure security-by-design is a foundational component of every application deployed into AWS.


• Contribute to the creation, management, and upkeep of Intranet FAQs, user guides, and knowledge base documents for AWS integration.


• Mentor engineering and development staff on public cloud integration design and hygiene.


• Design and maintain standard templates, reference architectures, and design patterns that aid other Cloud Engineers in developing standards-based designs.

Skills

• 4+ years of experience in the design and implementation of large enterprise public cloud environments.


• 2+ years of hands-on experience integrating mission-critical applications into AWS.


• Deep understanding of AWS services such as IAM, VPCs, EC2, ECS, S3, and others.


• Experience with infrastructure as code using CloudFormation, Ansible, or similar tools.


• Fluency with scripting/coding languages such as Java, Python, and bash.


• Experience implementing and leveraging logging and monitoring solutions.


• Understanding of the shared responsibility model in AWS.


• Proven record of accomplishments in major enterprise-level projects.


• Ability to clearly communicate and present to various levels of the organization.


• Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail.

Preferred Skills

• AWS Certified Professional.


• Experience in cloud-native architectures and micro-services design.


• Experience building and securing infrastructure as code using SAM.


• Experience in the design of complex distributed systems environments.
