Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) is currently seeking a talented IT professional for the role of an IT Project Manager III. The IT Project Manager will be the point person in charge of a specific technology project or projects within Habitat for Humanity International. The candidate is responsible for leading strategic initiatives from inception to successful completion. The project manager will coordinate cross-functional teams and ensure timely delivery within scope. Must be able to plan, execute, control, budget, monitor and report on the project with project management tools. The role requires excellent leadership, communication, and the ability to drive results through collaboration.
This position will be remotely based within the US.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
- Ensure resource availability and allocation
- Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
- Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs
- Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
- Proactively report and escalate to management as needed
- Perform risk management to minimize project risks
- Establish and maintain relationships with third parties / vendors
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
- Meet with clients to clarify specific requirements of each project
- Execute accuracy of project delivery against requirements without post-go-live defects
- Execute the delivery of projects on time and within budget
- Manager customer satisfaction scores
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree
- At least 5 years of IT project management experience
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Certified Scrum Master or similar
- Understanding of software development methodologies (waterfall and agile)
- Experience delivering IT projects
- Business analysis and business process design skills
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office tools + Smartsheet
- Ability to lead project teams of various sizes and see them through to completion
- Strong understanding of formal project management methodologies

The actual salary offered for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including location, internal equity and the candidate's qualifications and professional experience. HFHI offers a competitive, comprehensive benefits package that varies by country and typically includes vacation leave, sick leave, personal days, health insurance options, retirement plan contributions and life insurance. For work locations in the US, the hiring range for this position is $104,000 to $122,000.
