Overview Summit Materials is looking for an experienced, hands-on Plant Maintenance Technician to support our quarry operations team. This position is responsible for providing stationary equipment maintenance, mechanical repairs, and minor fabrication. The ideal candidate will be mechanically inclined with the ability to solve problems under pressure. Daily functions may include preventative maintenance, changing bearings, replacing conveyor rollers, belts, shives, wire cloth and urethane screens; installing Flexco splices, clips, and super screws; rebuilding crushers and chutes.

Roles & Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Preventative maintenance throughout the quarry and plant.
Problem solving when issues arise, under pressure.
Rebuilding parts of the stationary equipment, i.e., crushers, chutes, screens, etc.
Communicating with the leadership team to ensure proper operations decisions are made timely.
Welding, repair, and fabrication on rock crushing equipment associated with quarry operations.
Following all safety measures
Additional duties assigned by leadership.
Ability to perform repetitive and continuous functions, as necessary
Respond quickly to hazards of safety concerns.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
High School diploma or GED
3-5 years of related experience but does not have to be industry
Specific types of vision to include close, distance, peripheral, depth and ability to adjust focus.
Ability to respond quickly to hazards and safety concerns.
