Systems Engineer II at Shamrock Foods Company in Phoenix, Arizona

Job Description:

As a Network Engineer, you will design, build and run cost effective and highly available/performing IT solutions for on-premise and cloud networks. You will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing the LAN, WAN and Wireless components of the network.



Responsibilities:

• Cisco LAN/WAN switching and routing design/build/run.

• Cisco Wireless networking design/build/run

• Palo Alto Firewall, Global Protect administration.

• Identify and implement efficiency and automation enhancements

• Secure network resources

• On-site/remote work as needed

• Manage work through SCRUM

• New construction network design and build

• Cloud networking management and administration

Required Qualifications:

• 6+ years of relevant and recent experience in network wired/wireless design/build/run

• Thorough knowledge of the OSI Model.

• Palo Alto Firewall, and Global Protect management and support

• Experience successfully utilizing Agile/SCRUM practices

• Robust experience with Cisco Core/distribution/access models and the Nexus platform.

• VMWare NSX management and support

• Working knowledge of load balancer solutions

• Working knowledge of server-side systems and the VMWare platform.

• Strong skills utilizing the Cisco CLI.

• Ability to leverage automated and scripted network management tools.

• Ability to leverage multiple WAN solution types.

• Demonstrated analytical thinking, adaptability, enthusiasm and motivation
