Maintains a leadership role as a driver of change for continuous improvement of the processes through effective communication and collaboration at all levels in the organization.
Leads and participates in the APQP process, ensuring all aspects of a new product launch or part modification are accurate and timely.
Develops control plans, FMEAs, PFMEAs and PPAPs, including submitting to customers in a timely manner.
Assists with the administration of the QMS document control program
Assists with the administration of the quality audit and training programs
Oversees the plant calibration system.
Utilizes Six Sigma methods to drive process continuous improvement.
Leads cross functional teams to collaborate and uses the 8D problem solving process to determine the root cause of issues including working with others to develop corrective and preventative actions that are sustainable.
Creates and maintains Internal Corrective Action Reports, Supplier Corrective Action Reports, Discrepant Material Dispositions, and other documentation to ensure accurate recording and reporting of non-conformances.
Builds and grows customer relationships by providing high levels of service and commitment through excellent service, communication, and quick responses that address questions or concerns.
Other assignments as directed by management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
BSc. in Engineering or equivalent from a recognized institution or qualified certificate required.
Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification a plus.
3 years of experience in a quality position role.
Knowledge of managing a certified ISO 9001 environment, or similar QMS.
Experience as a quality/process auditor desired.
Experience with metrology and calibration systems is a plus.
Experience with CNC Machines and tube bending is a plus.
Knowledge of G, D, & T including coordinate measuring machines as well as 3D measurement and imaging machines.
