A Lot About You

  • Business Intelligence Managers are specialists when it comes to the analysis of Search, Display and Native advertising, experts in identifying trends in the data, looking for patterns of growth and goodness, and teasing out relevant insights. A great combination of Media Buying, Campaign Management, Data Analysis and Project Management is the perfect mix. Push the team to deliver projects, and then build insights with the data. We're always pushing the limits of how digital marketing can be used to achieve success for Yahoo Search. Along with our Product and Editorial counterparts, Biz Intel Managers are individual contributors who have an active role in driving revenue and achieving goals for the Yahoo Search business..


  • Your Day

    • Work independently to identify and prioritize opportunities and deliver projects, which lead to growth across a set of Yahoo's highest value Search terms.

    • Ensure ROI performance, efficiency and quality at scale.

    • Communicate directly with Partners, Product and Leadership at all levels of their organization to promote behavior that grows spend and also ensures long-term GINSU success.

    • Support Digital Growth strategies, roadmaps, scrums, and final product rollouts, across the analytics/insights, acquisition/referrals, activation/onboarding, and adoption.

    • Partner closely with Product, Editorial and Media Buying teams, and other internal team members to provide best-in-class service.

    • Works independently with guidance only in complex situations

    • May lead functional teams or projects with moderate resource requirements, risks and/or complexity

    • May lead others to solve complex work problems, or network with key contacts outside own area

    • Impacts a range of customer, operational, project or service objectives



  • Preferred Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree required.

    • Minimum 5 year experience in a related field.

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to problem solve and adapt to a fast paced working environment.

    • Previous media buying experience on platforms such as Google Ads, Facebook, Outbrain, etc.

    • Experience with digital traffic tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Omniture, Looker, comScore), enterprise BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker).

    • Knowledge in digital advertising, social media, search/SEO, arbitrage.

    • Ability to conceptualize business issues, formulate hypotheses, gather results, analyze data, and make appropriate recommendations for change.

    • Strong quantitative and analytical skills.

    • A curious, entrepreneurial mindset looking to learn about the business, our back-end systems, and our consumers.

    • Prior experience working in media, technology, and/or startups preferred.

The compensation for this position ranges from $102,000.00 - $212,500.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience.The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions.
