Skills and Background:
Minimum 7+ years of relevant experience.
Must have experience in billing different types of government contracts, such as Time & Materials (T&M), Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF), Cost Plus (CP), Estimate—completion (EAC), Firm Fixed Price (FFP), etc.
Experience with government contract regulations (e.g., FAR, DFAR, JTR, etc.).
Ability to review and understand contract terms and conditions and ensure the customer’s invoicing remains within existing billing processes and invoice formats.
Experience with various Gov’t web portals such as WAWF/iRAPT, IPP, etc.).
Must have strong analytical and reconciliation skills.
Knowledge of MS software is significantly advanced in Excel, Word, etc.
Experience with the Deltek financial system is required.
Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
Must show great initiative and ability to multi-task, solve problems, and self-prioritize.
Ability to work independently and cooperatively in a team environment is critical.
Responsibilities
Prepare accurate invoices and sufficient supporting documentation based on contract requirements, FAR/DFAR/DCAA regulations, and corporate practices.
Submit timely invoices to the Government/Prime contract via portals such as WAWF/IPP/ITSS or e-mail in compliance with contract-specific submission requirements.
Maintains billing schedule to ensure contracts are billed on time.
Assist internal and external customers regarding billing inquiries.
Review daily collections and follow up on collection status.
Assist accounting managers with the analysis of various project costs.
Support revenue reporting and recognition.
Reconcile unbilled/unearned every month.
Assist with monthly and year-end closing.
Support internal and external audits of the A/R and other functions as needed.
Assist with contract closeout process.
Build and maintain cross-functional team relationships with Program Management/Contracts.
Elevate issues promptly and adequately to relevant departments, including Program Management/Contracts, for quick resolution.
Assist in implementing processes and procedures to improve efficiency and strengthen internal controls.
Assist in all areas of general Accounting as needed.
Salary Range $85K-$105K
