We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Analyst - Purchasing, Supply Chain & Inventory to support our procurement and supply chain operations. This role will be pivotal in making data-driven purchasing decisions, optimizing vendor selection, tracking commodity price trends, managing both direct and indirect spend, and identifying opportunities for cost savings.
This position will report to the Director of FP&A and directly support the Director of Procurement
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Data Analysis & Reporting:
Utilize Microsoft Dynamics ERP and Power BI to create reports and dashboards for supply chain, purchasing, and inventory analysis.
Track and analyze key metrics related to material costs, vendor performance, and inventory levels.
Develop insights that drive purchasing and cost-reduction strategies.
Purchasing & Vendor Management:
Support procurement decisions by analyzing pricing trends, supplier performance, and historical purchasing data.
Assist in vendor selection and negotiation by providing data-backed recommendations.
Track commodity prices and market trends to mitigate cost risks.
Inventory & Supply Chain Optimization:
Monitor inventory levels and identify opportunities to reduce carrying costs while ensuring product availability.
Work cross-functionally with Operations, Procurement and Finance to optimize inventory planning and procurement strategies.
Analyze direct & indirect spend categories and recommend cost-saving initiatives.
Process Improvement & Strategic Support:
Identify inefficiencies in the purchasing and supply chain processes and recommend process improvements.
Collaborate with Procurement, Finance and Operations teams to develop forecasting models for purchasing and inventory planning.
Provide data-driven insights for long-term sourcing strategies.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
2-5 years of experience in an analytical role supporting purchasing, supply chain, or inventory management.
Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics ERP and Power BI would be a plus.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable recommendations.
Experience with commodity price tracking and vendor cost analysis.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented mindset.
Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and manage multiple priorities.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
General office environment.
May require occasional exposure to production area with airborne particles, loud noises, and extreme heat and cold. Personal protection equipment is required when entering manufacturing plant.
