About This Role:
The Department of New Student and Leadership Programs provides excellent customer service to faculty, staff, students, and guests needing assistance and aims to provide the members of our campus community with opportunities to serve others and grow as leaders.
What You'll Do - Position Responsibilities:
Attend event planning meetings for our department to discuss event ideas, help develop marketing strategies, and stay informed on our upcoming events and programs
Promote events and programs to students online (social media, campus announcements) and in person (tabling)
Implement guest service strategies at our events and programs
Design visually appealing promotional materials such as posters, flyers, digital graphics, and social media content to advertise upcoming events
Other tasks as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
Must meet the eligibility requirements of the Federal Work Study Program, as determined by the campus' Student Aid Office
Must meet Satisfactory Academic Progress and maintain a 2.5 minimum GPA
Effective communication and customer service with students, staff, administrators, parents, and any other inquires that contact the office or attend the events
Flexibility to workdays, evenings, and weekends as needed to support events and event promotion
Physical Requirements:
The position requires the ability to lift and move event materials/equipment. This position may require long hours spent standing during events. Candidates should be able to stand, walk, and perform job duties for extended periods.
