Summary:
The Curaplex Product Manager will focus on both Product Management & Sourcing activities for Sarnova’s private label brand, Curaplex, building and developing vendor partnerships with a focus on risk management, reliability, and cost effectiveness that support the overall private label strategy.
The Product Manager will manage current products within specified portfolios and the suppliers of those private label products. They will also manage the product portfolio evolution by identifying new product needs and product evolutions and developing the necessary sourcing strategies that will result in materials, techniques, and costs that are on brand and in line with defined strategies. Supplier relationship development & management will be critical to ensuring continued growth within specified product segments.
He or she will also work cross functionally, playing a key role applying policies and best practices around testing and inspection to ensure that all the products meet quality and regulatory requirements, as well as resolving vendor production and quality issues.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Establish themselves as a product category SME and trusted partner within the various business units and cross-functional teams.
Develop and lead new product lines through line extensions, new categories, and/or new product development.
Lead or co-lead voice of customer efforts to validate both new to market products as well as any changes to current product.
Develop and implement necessary education, creative, or clinical assets along with training assets needed to successfully go to market in various customer markets.
Develop relationships with new finished product suppliers & manage existing relationships.
Follow structured negotiation processes to conduct supplier negotiations and contracting.
Evaluate new sources, methods, and suppliers to ensure a reliable supply of finished products.
Identify potential suppliers and onboard and develop new suppliers in line with corporate supplier strategies.
Conduct global market research to identify potential new suppliers and products with the goal of identifying new and redundant sources of supply based on competitiveness, capability and business needs.
Cultivates supplier partnerships, tracks KPI’s and goals and monitors scorecards to measure and evaluate vendor performance and collaborate with partners to ensure quality and performance.
Complete Strategic Sourcing Events for assigned portfolios focusing on total value - includes but not limited to negotiating price, lead time, payment terms, rebates and delivery.
Oversee sourcing process and ensure that best costs are obtained from competing vendors through RFPs, allocate and award business to vendors as appropriate.
Analyze global, regional & local market information to understand upstream cost drivers and the effect on market pricing, including supply and demand dynamics.
Analyze and calculate costs of procurement and suggest methods to decrease expenditure.
Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking.
Partner with internal stake holders & budget owners to develop and execute continuous improvement plan.
Work closely with cross functional teams to identify suppliers for new product launches.
Conduct Business Reviews to drive supplier performance & prioritization of business needs.
Continually investigate & initiate sourcing and cost reduction opportunities to increase supply chain efficiencies, reduce risk and improve gross margins.
Develop & negotiate applicable legal contracts using in depth knowledge of standard commercial legal contract terms.
Review prototypes from various sampling stages to ensure design and quality meets standards.
Manage resolution of issues/concerns with suppliers, primarily as it relates to quality issues that may arise from inspection failures, production issues affecting delivery schedules, and pricing and invoice discrepancies.
Skills/Experience Required:
Previous product management, product development and/or sourcing experience required. Medical Device experience preferred.
2+ years' experience in mass market product development and management. Medical device, medical/clinical expertise or prior health care experience strongly desired.
Familiarity with contracting language and experience in negotiating contracts with suppliers is desired.
Understanding of negotiations, cost/price analysis and purchasing procedures is desired.
Understanding of new product launch and commercialization, with experience in product development and manufacturing processes desired.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with demonstrated ability to effectively lead and influence at all levels, including high-level stakeholders and business leaders.
Experience with large project planning and project management and the ability to lead project teams and collaborate with functions outside of the marketing team is desired.
Proven ability to work successfully in a deadline driven environment with a sense of urgency.
Microsoft Office Suite and CRM with strong Excel analytical skills and advanced PowerPoint capabilities.
A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field. MBA preferred.
